Company Overview Guide
Build custom chart dashboards to monitor the metrics that matter most for any ticker.
Overview
Company Overview lets you view multiple charts side-by-side for a single ticker. Each dashboard is a collection of chart tiles, and all tiles share the same ticker and time range. You can create as many dashboards as you like and switch between them instantly.
Default Dashboards
When you first visit the Company Overview page, five default dashboards are created for you:
- Income Statement — Revenue, Net Income, Gross Profit, Operating Income, EPS, and more.
- Balance Sheet — Total Assets, Total Liabilities, Equity, Cash, Current Ratio, and Debt.
- Cash Flow — Operating Cash Flow, Free Cash Flow, CapEx, and Financing activities.
- Ratios & Margins — Gross Margin, Operating Margin, Net Margin, ROE, ROA, and Asset Turnover.
- Market & Valuation — Market Cap, P/E Ratio, Enterprise Value, FCF Yield, and Stock Price.
You can customize these or create entirely new ones. If you ever want to start fresh, click Reset in the tab bar to restore all defaults.
Changing the Ticker
Use the search box at the top of the page to type a ticker symbol. As you type, matching tickers will appear in a dropdown. Select one and all charts on the dashboard will reload with data for that ticker.
The ticker is stored in the URL as a query parameter, so you can bookmark or share a specific dashboard + ticker combination.
Editing a Dashboard
Click the Edit button to enter edit mode. While editing you can:
- Rename — the dashboard title becomes an editable text field. Type a new name and click Done or click away to save.
- Add a chart — click the dashed + Add Chart tile at the end of the grid. Pick any metric and modifier from the popup.
- Remove a chart — click the red × button on any tile to remove it.
- Change columns — use the column dropdown to switch between 1, 2, 3, or 4 columns.
All changes are saved automatically. Click Done when you're finished.
Creating and Deleting Dashboards
Click + New in the tab bar to create a blank dashboard. It opens in edit mode so you can immediately start adding charts.
To delete a dashboard, click the trash icon next to the dashboard title. You'll be asked to confirm. You cannot delete your last remaining dashboard.
Time Range
The time presets at the top of the dashboard control the visible date range for all charts. The available range depends on your plan:
- Free — up to 1 year of data.
- Basic — up to 3 years of data.
- Pro — full history.
Tips
- StockWatch remembers your last-visited dashboard and ticker, so clicking Company Overview in the sidebar takes you right back where you left off.
- Use 2 columns for a side-by-side comparison layout, or 1 column to see charts at full width.
- Combine a metric with different modifiers (e.g. Revenue as Value and Revenue as YoY Growth) to see both the trend and the growth rate.
